Studio TETO – The Randy Cooper Star Destroyer!

We are saddened to report that Takasaki of Studio Teto is now in retirement. Artist’s Shiba and Takasaki have shown us all amazing work out of their shop in Japan, and they have inspired millions of our viewers world wide. We shall miss Takasaki-san greatly. I wish to thank them both for giving us all joy in this art form, showing masterful skill and creative ability. My friends, you have made your mark in the world, and art form with all you have done within it. Your credentials of work over the decades have proved your work to be great, and we shall always view it, remembering you in the process. Thank you Shiba-san… thank you Takasaki-san…. thank you STUDIO TETO!

Here is a message from Shiba-san…

I am honored that you posted it on the Web for several years. This will be the last work! A few years later, if we still have enough resources we would like to build 2001 a Space
Odyssey’s spaceship. A few years later, if I have sufficient funds, I would like to build a spacecraft of 2001 A Space Odyssey.

I write a little about Star Destroyer’s production. The foundation used Randy Cooper Models 42 “Avenger Star Destroyer.

1.Before making this 42 “Avenger Star Destroyer, work started from special tool
making.
2.The most difficult work was resin distortion and air bubbles.
3.The support base began to be built with the same structure as the original.
4. The thickness of the parts of the hull was not constant, so we made a lot of new
parts.
5. Compared with the original angle and length of the hull, there was a problem that the
hull was 1 degree right and left and the hull length was short.
6. The delta part of the rear part of the hull is newly manufactured.
7. We use about 3000 parts including our original parts.
8. All the parts attached to the surface of the rear part of the bridge are scaled down.
9. The changed parts of the hull became hundreds of places.
10. I made a reduced halogen lamp with reference to the original halogen lamp. That is a major change.

I sincerely thank you.
Production, Shiba
