Studio Scale TOS V2 Cylon Raider built by R.L. Bleecker… with V1 and V2 Comparisons

Long before the Moebius Kit was the kit that Jim Key and Mark Dickson released based on a Pyro Cylon Raider from the original series. That would become known as the V1 Raider. Years later, after kit maker Mike Salzo took over the pattern, he decided to start from scratch, then making this new V2 Cylon Raider that is very accurate to the Hero versions of this model. Below you will see the V2 Raider, and down the page further the V1 and V2 together which were both built by artist RL Bleecker. Photographing these was a delight, bringing back memories of the show. I was able to utilize different lighting tones to capture the different looks. While the studio scale Cylon Raider is no longer a hard to obtain model now that it is a mass produced plastic kit, the original resin made kits are, thus making them a more rare, and keeping their values high as the collectible they are. Of note: One may still order the Resin V2 HERO Cylon Raider Kit from JAWS Models.
