After requests from many customers worldwide this superb iconic and much loved collector’s model has finally been added to our range, with the addition of a dynamic diorama setting.

This X Wing is based on the superbly detailed (And rare) 1/48 scale model by renowned Fine Molds Models of Japan. The Fine detail on this kit has to be seen to be believed. These pictures just can’t do it justice. It has had the addition of LED lighting to all four Engines, and Fiber optic lighting to the cockpit to simulate lit dials and to illuminate the detailed pilot figure. The X-wing stands nearly 9 inches high on its diorama base and has a wingspan of 8 inches and is 9 inches long. The Diorama base itself is an impressive 14 inches long.

The X Wing has been painted using airbrush, wash and pigment techniques to make it as near as possible to the original studio model. It is powered by just two AA batteries which together with the power switch  are concealed neatly in the diorama itself. The diorama base itself is a faithful reproduction of the surface of the Death Star and features two smaller scale Tie Fighters, Two X Wings and a beautifully detailed Millennium Falcon all in a chase formation. These combined with the larger scale X Wing give a dynamic “Forced Perspective” effect and bring this diorama dramatically to life.

Apologies for the fairly high cost of dispatch, but as you will appreciate this is a large, heavy model, that also requires a lot of protective packaging for its trip to you. The dispatch costs represents the true cost of sending this collectors model internationally, no profit is made on postal charges.
