Silent Running’s “Huey” by Jeff Pollizzotto

Silent Running s one of those films that didn’t do too well in the theaters when it was released, but does well now on DVD through the now grown fans that saw it back then. One of the best parts of that story were the robots, one of which you see here… Huey! Artist Jeff Pollizzotto brought this little fella to life with his usual flare of talent. Beautiful!

Here is what Jeff has to say…

This is the out of production Posigrade “Silent Running” resin kit of Huey with many upgrades and corrections. The most fun was building a more accurate arm and the sapling that he is holding. The sapling is a real grass root from my yard with Woodland Scenics “leaves” glued to it! The dirt “ball” at the bottom is also real dirt. The entire sapling was sealed with clear lacquer to preserve it.

Enjoy!
