OUT OF PRODUCTION

I recently had the great honor of being able to photograph this beautiful finished piece from Atomic City Models. Known for his great works and writings in the film and movie industry, professional modeler Scott Alexander has also proven to be a great artist in making beautiful, and accurate kits with his business of Atomic City Models! As you can see with this beautiful 1955 TWA Moonliner, it is a true masterpiece that matches the original Rocket display that still stands in Disneyland today.

Here is what master modeler Scott Alexander has to say regarding this beautiful kit…

Kit available in January 2010, the Moonliner is 1:24 scale, making it just under 40-inches tall. The kit is mostly urethane resin castings, with a cast-brass canopy, photo-etched gratings for the base and a pre-built metal hand-railing for the base. This was mastered using the actual blueprints and period photos of the actual Moonliner. The lights in the base can be added very easily, though no actual lighting materials are included in the kit. There were no lights in the Moonliner itself. It is made of Resin, Brass PE and Castings.
