A client had commissioned me to build and paint the Wilco Models resin model kit of the Icarus spacecraft that was featured at the beginning of the movie, the Planet of the Apes. It was a pretty rough model and a lot of work had to be done inside and out. I also built a special diorama base that would hold the model in place and give the impression that the Icarus was sinking, like at the beginning of the film. The base was designed so that the model could be taken out and looked at. It is highly detailed, inside and out.
