Hello everyone!
I’m offering for sale my first major project! This is the 2 foot long Zvezda 1:2700 scale Star Destroyer, I have spent hundreds of hours detailing every millimeter of this fantastic model!
Here are the things I have done to bring this model to completion.
I have hand scribed every panel on the ship to bring out the detail, which I believe represents a more realistic look and mimics the model used in the movies rather than by using a “wash” to bring out the scribe lines.
I then subtly painted hundreds of panels all over the ship that are just slightly darker than the base hull color so they can be seen up close, but from a distance only appear as added detail you almost see on a subconscious level.
I then drilled thousands of holes for the windows and then attached fiber optics, for the light source I used the modern-day equivalent of the lighting that would have been used on the original model, which in this case is warm white and red LED’s, and blue LED’s for the engine lighting. I insulated each LED with heat shrink and attached a resistor on every LED in the model, the lighting generates almost no heat, so the lighting will last for years.
The base is sturdy wood with a 1/4″ piece of reflective black plexiglass on top, the mount for the ship is a 7/8″ brass tubing using an RCA jack to supply power for the ship. I provide the 12vdc power supply.
The ship can be removed from the base at any time and simply put back on, there is no extra wiring you will need to do, it is literally plug and play and will take less than a minute to set up and display!
The model will be packed extremely well for travel with insurance to make sure it gets there in one piece!
