Using the photos of Gary Wallace’s fantastic build of the YAMATO (Seen HERE), I was able to create this scene that I envisioned as being the return of the famous vessel…. with the rising sun directly behind her!

Once again master modeler Gary Wallace comes forward with one of my childhood, and adult favorites!…. The YAMATO from Starblazers! His use of weathering was perfect for this piece, especially with the new movie release! A beautiful job by Gary Wallace!

I remember watching Starblazers as a child….. and still today! Well… this type of animation has always captured my attention…especially when it is in a physical, model form!
